Members and Friends,
At the Chapter Fall Meet on November 5 which was
well attended, the membership approved the proposed
expenditures for our Chapter Christmas Party on Saturday
December 3, 2011 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Giannilli's II
restaurant in Greensburg (same place we have been
holding our Chapter meetings). We will also have a three
member band (MIXX) performing. Although the party is
listed for two hours, we have the room for three hours
if we want to stay that long. The band is also flexible
on the time it will play. There will be a cash bar
beginning at 5:45 PM.
Please remember you must be a paid up Chapter and
AMCA member for 2011 to attend. If you are not currently
a member of either organization and you want to attend
the party, you can join the AMCA on line at
www.antiquemotorcycle.org and the Chapter at
www.amcaamc.org by
clicking on membership, print out the application and
send $15 to Joe Baird at 921 Carlisle Street Natrona
Heights, PA 15065-1013.
The costs for the party are as follows with checks
payable to the Allegheny Mountain Chapter:
1) Single Member only: You must
pay $26 to Joe Baird by the deadline. If you attend the
party, you will receive your $26 back. If not, there is
no refund because we have to pay for each meal ordered.
2) Member and spouse/girlfriend:
You must pay $26 (just one payment for both not $52) to
Joe Baird. If you attend, there is no refund. If you
don't attend, we have to pay for two meals and the
Chapter will be out $26 and there is no refund. If you
want to bring a friend who doesn't fall into the above
categories, that person must pay $26 with no refund.
This is the reason we encourage everyone to pay their
dues. A member's dinner is paid by the Chapter. If the
friend signs up for membership, he is treated like a
member for the party.
3) Deadline: The deadline for
payment is Wednesday November 23. This is mandatory
because we must give a final count to the restaurant on
Saturday November 26.
4) What do you get?: Besides the
camaraderie of people who like old bikes and like to
ride them, a three entree meal with all the trimmings; a
band and maybe a little dancing; a few Christmas
presents for the attendees; and just plain family
holiday fun. And all before the holiday rush!
To those who we have not seen for awhile, this would
be a nice time to get reacquainted. To those who we
haven't seen but are receiving this e mail, come to the
party. You may like what you see. We just like to ride
old bikes and share "war" stories.
