Road Run and Event Schedule 2008
The following list of Road Runs and Events sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Chapter INC. of the AMCA for 2008. All Members and guests must sign a RELEASE OF LIABILITY form before participating in any event, including Road Runs, sponsored by the Chapter. Please arrive at all Road Runs approximately 1/2 hour before the starting time. Road Runs will start promptly at the designated time. . Rain dates are listed where applicable. Cancellations due to weather may occur. The general rule is we won’t start in the rain but will ride in the rain if it starts after we begin. For those wishing to trailer or truck their motorcycles to the start of a Road Run or Event, there is usually a place to store a truck or trailer. Please don’t be afraid to attend because the start of a road run or event is too far from your home. All Road Runs will be approximately 50 to 125 mile trips. Saturday May 10, 2008 The first Road Run of 2008 will be Saturday May 10 beginning at Zanotti's HD in Butler. Please arrive by 9:30 AM for coffee and donuts. Departure will be promptly at 10 AM. Trailer and truck parking is available at Zanotti's. Let's have a nice turnout. |

Raccoon State Park Beaver County
Meeting Time: 9:30 A.M.
We will meet at the East Roadside
Picnic Area.
The picnic area is on the main road through the park. The main road runs from entrances off of either US Route 30 or PA Route 18. The East Roadside Picnic Area is about 3 miles from the entrances, has ample vehicle and trailer parking, restroom facilities, and drinking water.
Departure Time: 10:00 A.M. Maps,
directions, and gas stop information will be provided. The run is
100 miles round trip. The lunch stop is after 57 miles.
The route goes through Pennsylvania,
West Virginia, and Ohio and will probably be 4 or 5 hours in duration,
start to finish including lunch, and keeping a 45
mile per hour pace.

Run will start at Lucas Motorsports in Brinkerton, which is located in Mt. Pleasant Twp. near Norvelt. All food and drinks will be provided. More details will be made available as plans are finalized.
Directions to Brinkerton from the Greensburg area: Take Mt.Pleasant Road past the Univ. of Pittsburgh at Greensburg campus. Where the main road turns left, continue A short distance ahead Tom’s shop will be on your left.
Directions from Mt. Pleasant area: Follow Rt 819 North to Armburst. This is a nice road. In Armburst, cross the bridge and pass the Post Office. Turn right at the first road. Where the road Y’s, follow the AMC sign to the right. Turn right again at the next AMC sign. A short distance ahead, Tom’s shop will be on your left.
Tom’s shop sits back from the road. It is a white building with a large rainbow painted across the front. The ride will be canceled if the forecast for rain is 40% or greater. There will be no alternate date. Bring your family and come enjoy the day with us. Food and drinks are provided.
Lynn Moyer and Tom Lucas straight ahead approximately 3 ½ miles. Just past the small lake on your left, turn left.
